William (“Bill”) Rice joined Brownell Landrigan in 2024. Prior to joining the firm, Bill worked as an immigration law attorney, including working with Afghan clients in asylum cases and other forms of immigration relief following the U.S. evacuation from Afghanistan in 2021.

While a law student at Georgetown Law, Bill worked as a research assistant with the university’s State and Local Law and Policy Project and interned with the Virginia Poverty Law Center where he worked on a variety of housing law and policy issues.

Prior to law school, Bill worked as a consultant and contractor on various projects at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), as well as working with Yazda, a nonprofit organization that assists religious and ethnic minority communities, such as the Yazidis, in Iraq with human rights protections and redevelopment projects.

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bill earned his Master’s Degree in International Relations from American University and his Bachelor Degrees in Political Science and History from Lebanon Valley College. He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgetown Law.

He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
